Liberty, Missouri, USA – June 30, 2025 – Continental Disc Corporation (CDC), a leading global provider of safety-critical pressure management solutions including rupture discs and pressure / vacuum relief valves, is pleased to announce it has acquired DonadonSDD, a leading Italian manufacturer of rupture discs, rupture indicators, explosion venting panels, and other industrial safety products.
DonadonSDD’s products ensure the safe operation of important processes in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, refining, power and energy, and other industrial markets. DonadonSDD is particularly distinguished in the market by its superior technical customer support and product quality and performance, including the ability to achieve high accuracy at low burst pressures with the proprietary NS NanoScored rupture disc product line.
DonadonSDD will remain headquartered in Corbetta (Milan), Italy, where it will become CDC’s European manufacturing center of excellence and continue to use the DonadonSDD brand. The executive leadership team of DonadonSDD will continue to lead the business as a CDC subsidiary.
Baker Hughes, an energy technology company, previously announced on June 16, 2025, that it has entered into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire CDC, including DonadonSDD. The acquisition of CDC by Baker Hughes is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, subject to completion of all customary conditions and required regulatory approvals.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Laward served as legal advisor to DonadonSDD and its shareholders, and Freshfields served as legal advisor to CDC.
