What does your job entail?
Being a Regional Sales Manager with Continental Disc Corporation is a fantastic job because my activities are so varied. I can spend a day outside on a tank farm in the rain to audit storage tanks, valves and flame arrestors, then the next day, being in the office, working through specification sheets, helping customers to select the optimum rupture disc technology for their application. My territory covers the UK, Egypt, Israel and Nigeria, so I am fortunate to travel extensively and enjoy the many cultural and technical differences that abound in the industries we serve.

What is the biggest challenge of your job?
The biggest challenge of my job is managing the many opportunities and activities that present themselves on a daily basis. Continental Disc Corporation covers so many industries and applications, that every day is a busy one.

What is the most rewarding thing about your job?
When a company comes to Continental Disc Corporation with a problem that has affected their business, it is hugely rewarding when we can find a solution that not only solves the problem, but also exceeds expectation. Whether it's a small requirement or a large project, knowing that we have delivered more than expected makes all the traveling and long days worthwhile.

What do you love about working at Continental Disc Corporation?
Working for Continental Disc Corporation doesn't feel like work - It feels like being part of a family. Everyone pulls together and having such a large family who I can rely on to always go the extra mile makes every day a pleasure.

Please explain a great customer experience you've had.
A customer contacted us asking if we could beat a competitor’s slow rupture disc delivery time. Working closely with our sales channel, we were able to quote for the replacement rupture disc and holder on a Thursday. We received an order the same day. Then our production team pulled out all the stops so that the customer received their rupture disc and holder by Monday afternoon. On top of delivering the product faster than the customer ever thought was possible, we also supplied them with an HPX® rupture disc, which was an upgrade to the performance that the customer had been experiencing with the competitor's product.

What do you do in your free time?
My spare time is important as I get to enjoy being with my family and friends. We have a very energetic Labrador named Oggy who requires lots of exercise. We cycle regularly, ski when it's in season and have just started to learn how to windsurf. It's an electric mix that keeps us busy and happy.
