Where are you from?
How long have you worked at Continental Disc Corporation?
What is a typical day for you?
Analyzing accounts and what is going into them, as well as trying to make sure guidelines that have been set are being followed. We try to stay in an "audit ready" mode at all times.
What is the biggest challenge of your job?
Trying to figure out what changes are happening at the government level that affect how we report items…from payroll to sales tax, and making our systems work more efficiently to keep up with those changes.
What is the most rewarding thing about your job?
Feeling like I have accomplished something at the end of the day. I like to tackle projects that seem like they are out of balance and by the end, knowing what makes them up.
What do you love about working at Continental Disc Corporation?
After starting here, I discovered that I could move up through the ranks with more education. When I earned a 2-year degree, I received encouragement to achieve a Bachelors Degree. As I progressed through school, I was able to progress through the company. I feel like my co-workers still care about what is happening with each other and offer support when needed.
What do you do in your free time?
We are renovating a 130-year-old farm house one room each winter. During the summer, we have a huge garden to tend, enjoy sitting outside and not seeing any houses.
