A LEADING RUPTURE
DISC COMPANY

5 decades of growth.

In 1965, Hans Unger, John Radhal, Frank Hansen founded the business that would become Continental Disc Corporation, LLC.

In the decades since, the original team of 12 has grown to more than 300 employees in our 96,000 square foot worldwide corporate headquarters – and in dozens of other offices across the globe.

In 50 years, we’ve:

  • Expanded our core company
  • Acquired a product line
  • Acquired a business division
  • Acquired two corporations

Our catalog of products has grown from two rupture discs to more than 30 discs and related support products, plus hose valves, tank vents, flame arrestors, pilot-operated valves and gas blanket regulator lines.

We believe that kind of growth doesn’t come from business acumen alone.

It comes from a hard-earned reputation for manufacturing high-caliber custom products and flawless customer support.

EXPLORE OUR TIMELINE

How we ensure flawless customer support

From the salespeople to the engineers, every CDC employee knows the Continental Disc Corporation Quality Policy – it’s a cornerstone of our company culture.

In short, we strive to provide customer satisfaction with every product and service we provide.

How? Through a commitment to three objectives:
• To meet or exceed customer specifications legal requirements,
• To deliver products and services when promised without fail, and
• To continually improve the effectiveness of our quality management system.

The credentials behind our custom products

Unger, Radhal and Hansen launched CDC with rupture discs designed to support four processing industries. Fifty years of striving, engineering and inventing ever more advanced products have helped us expand into more than 40 industries.

That 50-year commitment to custom quality is reflected in the certificates and licenses our quality system, manufacturing processes and products have earned.
