HPX®-PT™ pre-torqued holders incorporate high strength steel socket head cap screws to ensure accurate loading and sealing of the HPX® rupture disc (bursting disc). The HPX®-PT™ holder allows the disc to be correctly fitted in the workshop using precise recommended torque levels, prior to installation of the complete assembly between the flanges in the process system relief stream.

Continental Disc Corporation's Double Disc Assembly places two rupture discs (bursting discs), either tension type or reverse acting, in series. This provides a number of potential benefits, including a zero-leakage redundant system (a gauge in the midflange would indicate any leakage, which would be contained by the second rupture disc) or a quick-opening device (where a pressurized midflange would maintain the rupture discs until the midflange pressure is dumped and differential pressure opens both rupture discs). |
