Specialized Rupture Discs
Specialized applications require specilized solutions. For over 40 years, Continental Disc Corporation has been called upon to solve the pressure relieving challenges of some of the most demanding industries. The innovations discovered for those applications are then used to improve the service we offer to all of our customers.

The HPX™ SANITARY rupture disc is a scored reverse acting rupture disc designed specifically for the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and biotech industries. This differential pressure relief device features an instantaneous full-open relief area for protecting equipment, vessels, systems and people from an overpressure condition. This high precision reverse acting rupture disc offers proven performance in excess of 250,000 cycles at a 95% operating ratio.

The SANITRX® Rupture Disc is a semicircular-scored reverse acting rupture disc designed to provide instantaneous overpressure protection in sanitary environments. Engineered exclusively for applications concerned with product purity and trouble-free equipment sterilization, the SANITRX® Rupture Disc fits directly between standard sanitary tube connections and provides overpressure protection for sanitary systems, equipment, and vessels.

Continental Disc Corporation's CAL-VAC® & POS-A-SET® Rupture Disc Assemblies are highly accurate, double acting pressure relief devices designed to protect processing and storage tanks against implosion and/or overpressure conditions that can occur when too much vacuum is pulled during liquid product withdrawal, during hot water or steam cleaning of tanks, or from development of an abnormal process condition. Rupture pressures available as low as 1” water column.

Continental Disc Corporation’s vent panels are designed to provide instantaneous overpressure protection for pressurized equipment like dust collectors, driers, silos, spreaders, elevators, air scrubbers, sieves, screens and various other types of dry, bulk handling and storage equipment. Continental’s vent panels are designed to allow a full and immediate opening to minimize structural or mechanical damage that may be caused by expanding gases.

The same engineering, testing and manufacturing talent that has solved one-of-a-kind problems for worldwide industries is now available to deliver innovative solutions to your own specific pressure relief problems. We manufacture rupture discs to meet the specific needs of any application, whether it be pressure, temperature, material, or configuration.
