Continental Disc maintains an ASME Flow Test Laboratory operated by a team of experienced research and development personnel who are ASME accepted authorized observers. With the addition of the new Liquid Flow Loop, the Flow Test Laboratory can now run the full gamut of flow tests in both air and liquid. ASME Section VIII
 

 

 

The ASME Code, Section VIII, Division 1, became effective on July 1, 1998. With this updated code, it is required that the rupture disc device have the UD Symbol Code Symbol Stamp, a certified flow resistance factor, and the minimum net flow area stamped on the rupture disc tag.

CE Certificates - The European Pressure Equipment Directive
 
China Manufacture License
 
The Pressure Equipment Directive is intended to assure that applicable pressure equipment meets the "essential safety requirements" established by the European Union. The C.D.C. product-specific CE Certificates, dated December 12, 2000 and available for download here, make Continental Disc Corporation the first U.S. rupture disc manufacturer authorized to apply the CE Mark.
 
Continuing our efforts to provide our customers with the best products to meet their safety needs, Continental Disc Corporation received the Safety Quality Licensing Certificate for Import Boiler & Pressure Vessel of China State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision of the People's Republic of China on March 10, 1999.

Certifies that Continental Disc is authorized to apply the "NB" mark to specified PRESSURE RELIEF DEVICES in accordance with the provisions of the National Board, issued on January 11, 2001.
 
Certifies that Continental Disc is authorized to apply the "3-A" Symbol to certain models of equipment
conforming to 3-A Sanitary Standards.

ATEX BDI Certificate
ATEX Quality Assurance Notification
 
Component intended for use in equipment or protective system. Identified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Directive 9/4/EC
The quality system for Burst Disc Indicators (BDI) and MTB 700 Alarm Monitors is compliant with Directive 94/9/EC, ATEX, Annex IV, and Annex VII. A quality audit was performed by the Notified Body in accordance with EN 13980 "Potentially Explosive Atmospheres - Application of Quality Systems".

ERA Technology Third-Party Assessment Report - B.D.I.
Nadcap Accreditation for Welding
 
Assessment of Continental Disc Corporation B.D.I. Burst Disc Indicators with Clause 1.3 of EN 50 014 : 1977 and Clause 5.4 of EN 50020 : 1994.
Nadcap is the National Aerospace and Defense Contractor Accreditation Program. The program is administered by the Performance Review Institute, an affiliate of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). This accreditation is also recognized in Europe under the auspices of the International Aerospace Quality Group.
